2016 was an excellent year for music books. Among these, memoirs were released by founding The Cure member Lol Tolhurst and Flying Nun record label founder Roger Shepherd. Ultimately, the experiences of both with their respective music projects have striking similarities, and both are great reads. We review the books ‘Cured: The Tale of Two Imaginary Boys’ and ‘In Love with these Times: My Life with Flying Nun Records’. Read about them on the -> Features <- page.

Thanks for the reviews Ian. I've also read Roger Shepherd's book, and also found it really interesting. I particularly found it interesting that once the label reached a certain size they could no longer manage the really obscure bands. Seems like there's a life cycle for record labels.
