Hamilton's The Recently Deceived have been together since 2014. The band - Terry - vox/guitar, Tim - guitar/beer, Timo - bass, Reece - drums/hair - are influenced by, amongst others, Much The Same, Rise Against, and Bowling For Soup, the band nominate a show by Good Riddance and Versus The World, as something to aspire to.
Currently recording an EP, The Recently Deceived play Hamilton's Diggers Bar on Saturday October 17 with Poison Skies, Checaine & Rebel Sound Radio. The band will play at the first annual HUP Xmas party on December 18th at Nivara Lounge, and 'Truth and Lies', from the band's forthcoming EP, is featured in the next HUPCAST, set for release this week. HUP is involved in a project to open a new practice space in Hamilton, a secure facility in the Te Rapa area equipped with PA, drums and bass cab.
