HUP is terrifically excited to announce the addition of GROK to the bill for our next show on October the 16th. You can learn all about GROK here, and check out this very cool interview with GROK's Scott Brodie by Andrew Johnstone for Rip It Up radio.
Joining GROK will be joining Rumpus Room, Ghosts of Electricity and local newcomers Tidal Control at Nivara Lounge.
Ghosts of Electricity have a new album out soon, and Ian Duggan got his mitts on it nice and early to review it for HUP. GoE play Nivara Lounge for HUP's next show, together with Rumpus Room, Tidal Control and another soon-to-be-announced rather special band from Hamilton's past. Find the review here.
14-8-15 Paper Cranes, Phil and Tilley, and Sam performed at a HUP show at Waikato Waldorf School in Rototuna. A fundraiser for the school, the show brought in a great crowd and a top atmosphere. Big thanks to the bands for playing and to Grant B. for sound and lighting skills. All photos courtesy of Ngamihi Pawa.
Ian Duggan's latest piece for HUP is a retrospective review of Discordia Concors, a compilation of music from Hamilton from the 80s and 90s. Find our review here.
