Over 20 bands and artists will appear at CBD venues across two nights. The action kicks off around 7pm on Friday March 8th at Nivara Lounge and ZEAL, then continues on Saturday March 9th at Nivara Lounge and The Meteor.

Alcohol and Drugs:
No alcohol or drugs are to be taken into festival venues. The only venues where alcohol can be consumed are those that sell it - Nivara Lounge and The Meteor. No alcohol is to be taken out of venues. Failure to comply with this may result in your ejection from the festival.
Your Safety and Wellbeing:
It is very important to us that you feel safe throughout your time at Future City Festival. We ask that all festival-goers look out for each other inside venues and whilst walking between venues. If you feel unsafe at any point, please inform the door staff immediately and they will liaise with venue management to address your issue.
To supplement our competent door staff and venue management, we contract Red Badge Security to help us to ensure your safety and wellbeing at venues. Failure to behave in an appropriate manner may result in your ejection from the festival.
Please take care when walking between venues and use the correct road-crossing points. It is advisable to drink plenty of water to help you conquer the kilometres each night!

2017 was the first ever Future City Festival. It was held on Friday March 3rd (6pm-midnight) and Saturday March 4th 2017 (1pm-midnight). It was be held across two venues, Nivara Lounge on Victoria Street and Creative Waikato on Alexandra Street, a few minutes walk from each other in the Hamilton CBD. A simultaneous event was held at Embassy Park (Riff Raff Statue) on Saturday 4th March between 5-8pm, and was run by the Embassy Park team. Click here for the separate FB event page for 'Future City at Embassy Park! Weekend tickets were $35 each in advance. Limited doorsales were made available at $20 for Friday, $25 for Saturday. Here is the schedule...although Skux didn't make it in the end.
