Saturday saw the official launch of THE HUM 106.7FM with a party at Nivara Lounge. HUP was there to take in the revelry, and a little review of the groups has been 'penned' which you can find HERE.

This week saw the publication of the first issue of our zine, imaginitively titled HUPZINE. A lot of the content of the first issue is some neat interviews with the bands featuring in the show this coming Friday (29th), namely Mermaidens, SoccerPractise, and The Goth And The Pixie at Nivara Lounge. The HUPZINE costs a measly $3 (to cover print costs) and is available from Mark One Comics, Auteur House and Nivara Lounge, all on Victoria Street. It will be available at the show too. Also, we would LOVE new contributors...pleeeeease get in touch if interested!!

HUPPY NEW YEAR! Sorry couldn't resist. It's all getting a bit exciting here at HUP towers, with three fantastical shows planned in the first few months of the year, and the production of the first HUPZINE underway. You may have seen the announcement on FB last night that our March show is going to be Hamtown legends INCHWORM, reforming for a one off show on March 11th which happily coincides with the Hamilton Fringe Festival. More on that in weeks to come, but in the meantime, January the 29th sees our first show of the year featuring Wellington's phenomenal MERMAIDENS. Check out their In Session track 'Cold Skin' below.

Also playing are Auckland's SoccerPractise, whose gorgoeus song 'Windfall' is riiiiight here...

And if that wasn't enough to get you interested, Hamilton's own dark troubadours The Goth and The Pixie are opening the show. $10 on the door, Doors 8.30pm, first band 9.15pm. Ping!!
