Here's another selection of our fave tracks from some of the bands playing this coming weekend! 1. Miss June - Matriarchy The opening lyric 'What part of noooo don't you understand?' and that drumbeat....I mean...come on! Swoooooon! I can't wait to see all the bands this weekend, but the thought of Miss June ripping it at The Meteor on Saturday night is very very exciting indeed. 2. The Scones - Greasy Meal (A Song About Trains) There is nothing not to love about The Scones. The fact that we get them as a full band on Friday night at Nivara Lounge, and then as an acoustic duo (with glockenspiels and other exciting instruments) under the guise of Kitchenette is doubly tremendous. Also, Kitchenette are on Jesee Mulligan's show on RNZ tomorrow afternoon (Thurs) at around 1.10pm...tune in! 3. Being. - High In Mind Delicious lush fuzzy guitar pop from Jasmine Balmer aka Being. who play Fridya night at Nivara Lounge, FFO The Beths, Fazerdaze etc. 4. System Corporation - Dismal Universal Hiss Amazing song, amazing dudes, and from what we hear behind the scenes, the bands second ever live show sounds like it will be quite spectacluar. Do not miss them Saturday night 9.55pm on the main stage at The Meteor! 5. Date Month Year - March Gorgeous pop from one of Hamilton's longest running pop bands. From the symphonic opening through the lovely harmonies, DMY will open proceddings on Friday night at Nivara Lounge, at 6.50pm....get in early!
